Automatic and efficient -
online control
SyncroSupply pursues a two-stage optimisation strategy:
- Planning of deliveries
Fixed delivery times can be agreed over a longer period between the MRP (Materials Requirements Planner) controllers of our customers and the MRP controllers of the forwarding agents, e.g. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 2 p.m. These fixed delivery times can and should be given preference by the forwarding agent and log on via the Internet portal. Since the key data for such deliveries has already been entered in the SyncroSupply master data, the time and work for the forwarding agent is reduced to only a few actions.
In addition to these fixed arrival times, the forwarding agent can also request further delivery times. The optimisation can move these desired times within a set framework to achieve the best possible delivery strategy using this leeway.
- Optimised control of trucks in real-time
When a truck arrives at a factory site it is confronted with a situation that most certainly differs from the original plan. This may be due to the fact that it arrives way before its target arrival time, though it may also have missed its time frame. On the other hand, deliveries that have already arrived on the premises may display variances to the plan. Possible reasons include:
- the truck is too early, too late or was not announced
- the truck brings (in part) material for other loading points or more material than planned
- the truck brings bottleneck material that is urgently needed in production
- special shifts, lost shifts
- works meetings
- faulty tyre, trapped tarpaulins, longer loading period due to faulty load securing
- unloading faster or slower than the calculated average
A truck control system has to react flexibly to all of these situations. SyncroSupply permanently determines the optimised allocation of all open loading orders for all trucks to the available resources taking into account all capacity restrictions using proven optimisation methods. The number of parking spaces, number of stacker trucks as well as opening times can be saved as master data, for example.
